The SpinChip platform
Science in motion
The SpinChip platform consists of an analyzer and test cartridges, that are optimized for in-vitro diagnostic testing at or near the site of patient care. At an attractive cost, even the most advanced tests can be performed within a few minutes from a fraction of a blood droplet.
The unique SpinChip technology allows analysis of a broad range of parameters and sample types with lab quality results.
The state-of-the-art platform includes the disposable test cartridges for collecting and processing the sample and the analyzer for processing the test cartridge, readout and communicating the results.
3 simple steps
1.
Draw sample
2.
Insert cartridge
3.
Read result within minutes
Lab-quality in point of care settings
IVDs are traditionally conducted in laboratories equipped with expensive instrumentation and highly trained staff. With the SpinChip platform technology, even the most advanced tests may be performed quickly, easily and reliably next to the patient in the emergency ward, the ambulance, doctor’s office, off-shore or in-field.

All-in-one Analyzer
The SpinChip Analyzer includes state-of-the-art mechanics, mechatronics, electronics, optics, user interfaces, connectivity features, and embedded software. This gives a fully automated processing of the cartridge according to the unique dual axle centrifugal system, optical readout from two complementary readout systems, and communication of information and results. The operator may communicate with the instrument through the touch display or the connectivity system.
Cartridge
– small but powerful
The SpinChip cartridge can hold both liquid and dried reagents. The microfluidic designs are specifically developed to process the sample and the reagents according to the assaying and readout principles used. These designs consist of a variety of microfluidic modules connected by channels within the cartridge. The unique microfluidic processing concepts as developed by SpinChip, allow for micro-scaling of the processes as performed in the most advanced lab machines, all within the closed test cartridges.
